Tiny Hearts of Maldives, the NGO that helps children with heart conditions, has signed a deal with Aasandha Company to improve the organization.
Tiny Hearts’ Chairperson Fiunaz Waheed and Aasandha’s Managing Director Maumoon Abdul Samad signed the agreement.
Chairperson Waheed at the ceremony said that the agreement will help broaden the NGO’s work, and will allow them to provide services now only available abroad.
She said that they have held eight camps to help children with heart conditions, and that the NGO helped 120 children in their last camp.
She announced that the NGO will hold more camps in the atolls.
Tiny Hearts of Maldives, founded on July 8, 2009, aims to create knowledge and awareness on various congenital and other heart conditions which affect children before and after birth, with the assistance of various national and international professional organizations in this field, in addition to empowering parents and families to take timely action, advocating for the establishment of a fully functional cardiac unit with lifesaving equipment and qualified professional staff in at least one hospital in the Maldives and advising parents, families and young children on the importance of making lifestyle choices which promote a healthy heart. – via vnews (http://www.vnews.mv/78725)
